“If you see a bandwagon,
it’s too late!”
James Goldsmith |
 |
| |
Greetings, |
|
| |
It’s one of the big plus-points of the new economy that you can confidently look forward to exceptional bargains pretty much every day of the week. The bottom line, however, is that it isn’t a true bargain if it doesn’t represent genuine quality. It is essential, therefore, for us to lead rather than follow, and to innovate rather than leap on other bandwagons! |
| |
To that end, we’ve been working with our preferred suppliers to bring you innovative promotions that you won’t find anywhere else - and to offer you quality products at the keenest prices. We’ve negotiated limited quantities of pre-promotional stock from some of those key suppliers. This is stock that is prepared specifically for our buyers, and because it has to impress these most demanding of critics, the items are produced to higher than normal standards. |
| |
And so our promotion for July is the Fishers
Pre-Prom Sale, which will offer you up to 66% off recommended retail prices of selected stock –
so you’re paying just a third of the normal price.
And of course there will be lots of other value offerings and deals around the store to complement the Pre-Prom Sale. |
| |
Because you’re an e-mail member of our Advantage Club, you’ll have special advance access to the Sale from Saturday 11th July onwards – it won’t be advertised to the public till Wednesday 15th. You’ll find these specially marked items in both our ladies and mens departments. So not alone are you getting superb quality – you’re also getting exceptional value on a range of leading fashion labels. |
| |
I think even Mr. Goldsmith might approve of that. |
| |
See you at Fishers for the Pre-Prom Sale.
Best regards, |
| |
 |
| |

It’s Barbie Time At The Buttery |
|
 |
The Buttery Restaurant at Fishers can’t be accused of failing to get into the summer mood. Every Saturday, they’re offering barbeque options for you to enjoy on your visit – marinaded tiger prawns or organic beef burgers – can you sence the sizzle. |
| The Buttery is also offering a limited range of ready meals to go right now – along with delicious home-made brown breads and locally produced jams and preserves to go with it. And if the demand is strong enough, we’re hearing a whisper of a regular producers’ market at The Buttery in the not too distant future. |
| And just to tempt you further from Monday to Friday you can now have a two course lunch and tea or coffee for just €13 . |

Reasons to be cheerful |
| |
As creators of Ireland’s first formal ‘Gloom Free Zone’, we’re quick to spot good news when it pops its head up. The recent announcement of significant improvement in the Housing Affordability Index (returning to levels last recorded in the 1990’s) is good news indeed for us all. This could well be part of the silver lining we all seek. And for our part, we’ll continue to address the issue of affordability, doing our very best to make the Euro in your pocket go further. |
 |
| |
A second reason to be cheerful is that, on the advice of our “Mystery Retail Guru”, we’ve implemented a few changes to our store layout which we think will make your visit even more enjoyable. We’ve included some attractive new entrance displays, and have also made the shop more comfortable and open for you to enjoy – including comfy couches to relax on while you ponder which item to buy. We hope you like the improvements and that they will enhance the therapeutic effect of a visit to the Fishers Gloom Free Zone. |

Watch out for our next e-zine when we’ll be filling you in on how you’ll see Fishers on national television over the coming weeks. Not once – but twice. That’s doubly intriguing! Tune in next month to hear more. |
