Whenever I hear the gloom-mongers get into full swing, I think of the Monty Python song by Eric Idle: “If life seems jolly rotten, there’s something you’ve forgotten, and that’s to laugh and smile and dance and sing. When you’re feeling in the dumps, don’t be silly chumps, just purse your lips and whistle – that’s the thing … and always look on the bright side of life – always look on the light side of life.” |

And it’s relatively easy to look on the bright side in May. It’s a beautiful month, with long evenings and nature putting on such a magnificent free show. It’s also a great month for birthdays and weddings - and I should know, as half the family have both this month! |

So whether you want to dress really smart or prefer something cooler and more casual, Fishers has lots to offer. Think vibrant or flowing prints, with perhaps a Jean Condron head piece (www.hatsbyjean.com) for the ladies. |

| We mentioned in our last e-zine that we were trying to establish a Fishers Advantage Club Day every Wednesday, but this proved to be difficult to implement due to a number of operational reasons. We remain committed, however, to the concept of dedicating Wednesday mornings to local businesses. |
